Jim Brown Rookie Card of Star Cleveland Browns Fullback, and “The Greatest Running Back of All Time.”

An all-state high school athlete, Brown (b. 1936) attended Syracuse University where he excelled in four sports. After graduating, he signed to play professional football with the Cleveland Browns, and was named rookie of the year in 1957.

Virtually unstoppable, the fullback set records of 5.2 yards per carry and 12,312 in total yardage. Teaming in the backfield with halfback Bobby Mitchell, the Cleveland Brown’s ground game was amazing. Brown is the only running back in the history of the NFL to average 100 rushing yards per game over his career.

Jim Brown was inducted into the Football Hall of Fame in 1971.
