Henry “Hank” Aaron 1954 Topps Rookie Baseball Card.
Following his solid first year above (he hit .280 with 13 home runs), Hank accelerated through the 1955 season with 27 home runs, 106 runs batted in, and a .328 average that would define his long career. In 1956, after winning the first of two batting titles, he completed an outstanding 1957, taking home the National League MVP and nearly capturing the Triple Crown by hitting 44 home runs, knocking in another 132, and batting a .322.
Elected to the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1982, Aaron was awarded with the Presidential Medal of Freedom in 2002.
